What do you do with your unwanted clothes? We throw them in the bin and they go into a dump.
What can be done to reduce the amount of clothing waste? To keep your clothes for your kids or give them to younger relatives or to give them to salvos’s.
i accidentally left a big gap.
I think people should stop chucking radome clothes out and think about the poor people out in the world. You could go. Down to good Sammy’s and put your old clothes in there.
The BTN report talked about how much clothing Australians use, what countries poorly paid because of "Fast Fashion" and what we can do about clothing waste.
Some changes I think people can make are reduce the purchase of clothing and only buy clothing when you need it and give clothing away to charity.
the shops could put hire prices of clothes so we don't tend to buy as much and if we still do buy a big bit. Then we could go and say if you have to sell clothes because I have gone to EB games and they sell clothes and they 96% sell gmaes
The report was about fashion waste it was overall a good report and the only changes i would make would be to get rid of the flashing lights.
The BTN report showed us about what clothing can do to the environment and how we should buy clothes such as don't buy cheap low quality materials and don't put clothes in the trash.
To improve the waste issue we could use T-Shirts for rags or donate to homeless people or bring your clothes to places like good Sammy’s you could also buy less clothes and use clothes while they last by doing this you can reduce landfill and make our earth last longer all in the name of sustainability.
What do you do to your un wanted clothes? I put them in the salvos bin or give it to my younger cousins.
What can be done to reduce clothing waste? Put the clothes away for someone else to use or sell it to a op shop.
When I was watching this video I realised that it is not okay to throw your old clothes out because you can really hurt the environment. If you have any old clothes that you don’t want anymore or that you don’t fit you don’t have to chuck it out you can also use it for many other things like a rag or use something to do with craft you can even make a pillow out of It you can also given it toother people that are smaller then you or the good sammys. There is many differnet ways to make old clothes useful
The BTN report was about how fashion effects the environment and how much clothing we buy. Clothing can become landfill which is bad for the environment. The average person buys 27 kilos a year also when we are done with our clothes we throw them out they take 200 years to decomposed.
The BTN video showed me that Australia is the second biggest consumer in the world per person and that the people in the china don’t get payed well. Ever person buys about 27 kilos are spent on new clothe wear a year.
I think in stead of throwing clothes out you can use your old clothes for rags or donate them, or you can give your clothes to a family member how is younger or you can give them to the second hand shook to sell.
The BTN report showed how much fashion waste there is in Australia and explained how. If I were to guess which is the second most fashion waste on earth I would not have guessed Australia as I oblivious to the stats. Australians have thrown out around 27kg of clothing every year. I believe the report was about the amount of fashion waste in Australia due to situations like trends that are affordable, massively advertised and Clothes that are cheap as they were made in poor conditions. I also think clothes waste is mostly due to choice-support cognitive bias. That means you support your desire because since it was your decision (not your parents) you are blinded from the flaws. An example of this is if your parents tell you to look online and choose what to buy at the shops. You saw a “luscious, outstandingly comfortable fake Louis Vuitton shirt. They are quite they opposite of what you read in the blog but since you are so sure that it will come with time you purchase them do not take them back in the time given and end up never wearing them. Another thing BTN report spoke about was fast fashion, fast fashion is when new trending piece of clothing come out like a new Stussy top came out soon worse quality versions will soon come out to the shelves on all the stores. In the end the video was very interesting and gave me an insight of the fashion industry.
The report was about how much clothing we consume by each person, each year. I thought it was outrageous the amount of clothing we buy and wear. I mean 27kg of clothing a year per person! Come on Australia, I can’t believe we were the second highest consuming clothing country in the world! We should go back to the olden days, where we only have a few outfits and if they fall apart or rip, we should just sew our clothes back together. The video talked about ‘fast fashion’ which is how some countries replicate a new trend of clothing quickly and export them to certain shops. We have to resist buying these new clothes and new trends that are low quality. I feel that if people donate clothes to Salvos and other shops like that or make them hand-me-downs it could save people money and stop wasting clothes and destroying the environment or give them to people for rags. What if we stopped throwing out our clothes and instead make them into recyclable and reusable bags or other useful everyday items. If people don’t throw out their ripped or torn clothes not only would it help the environment, it would help us save money too. It would also help if people stopped buying low quality clothes and cheap clothes. Would you rather have a few quality clothes that are a bit more expensive but last a long time or a wardrobe full of low quality clothes, that are less expensive but fall apart every time you wash them or wear them? Can we all cut down what we buy and throw out, to reduce landfill and make Earth survive for a millions of generations to come?
It was a beautiful day the sun was out and the sky was as blue as the ocean I had a tingling feeling in fingers that today was going to be a great day when I was waking to school I could hear the sound of birds chirping. When I got to class I put drink bottle down on my desk and and looked out the window.
